Steven Brooks has had a passion for music from a young age, playing in various musical ensembles since late elementary school. His hard work was recognized at the district and state level through being accepted into All-County and All-State level ensembles as well as receiving high ratings in Solo and Ensemble events. A proud Polk County native, he enjoyed volunteering with various area high school music programs while studying at Florida Southern College for a Bachelor in Music Education degree so he could be able to share his love of music with others. After graduation, Steven accepted a position at Denn John Middle School in Osceola County, where he grew the music program during the pandemic and school renovations. He is thrilled to be back home in Polk County working with the Instrumental Music students at Edward W. Bok Academy South. 

When not teaching, Steven still enjoys playing in the central florida music community, such as performing with the Theater Winter Haven Big Band and the Ridge Brass Ensemble. He resides in Winter Haven and enjoys relaxing with his wonder wife, Larissa and their amazing dog, Millie.
