About me
I am Amber Love Johnson, born and raised in Lake Wales and a first-generation college graduate. I have a deep love and connection with my community and my kids, Lilly (8) & John (6), are part of the Lake Wales Charter School System. I have an MBA and Master’s Specialist Degree and I am currently obtaining my Doctorate from FSU in Ed Leadership & Policy focusing on childhood trauma and discipline and how best to support our teachers. I spent 10 years in corporate in data analysis, strategic planning, marketing, sales, and product management. I switched careers when I realized I wanted to do something I was passionate about. I have classroom experience in elementary education with an emphasis on grant writing and discipline expertise in both elementary and middle school. Making connections with students and families is my favorite part of the job. My husband, Jonathon, owns Johnson Dental Lab in Lake Wales and is a native as well. We enjoy coaching soccer and baseball and volunteering in our community.
